GROVE CITY, Pennsylvania – February 21, 2026 – Hiram wrapped up competition at the PAC Championships on Saturday, which marked the culmination of the four-day event inside James E. Longnecker Competition Pool.
In the final standings, the men's team placed fourth out of seven teams, while the women had multiple strong individual finishes in the team's first PAC-wide event since 1989.
Men's Recap
David Slovenkay had a strong day in the 200-yard backstroke, racing his way to a prelim time of 2:08.63 to qualify for the finals. In the A-Final, the junior finished in eighth place with a strong mark of 2:09.78
In the 100-meter freestyle, Ethan O'Malley ranked among the top-15 in prelims with a mark of 51.08. The junior from Warren, OH then posted a time of 51.19 to place well in the B-Final.
In the 200-yard breaststroke, Jon Hybil worked his way to a prelim time of 2:19.44, which was enough to qualify him for the A-Final. In what marked his final individual race, Hybil then placed seventh in the A-Final for the event with a time of 2:20.63.
Also highlighting the evening was the 400-yard freestyle relay team of Hybil, Slovenkay, Owen Pastorius and O'Malley, which finished in fourth place with a mark of 3:17.27.
Women's Recap
Grace Basham and Mya Libertine were first in the pool for the women's team, as they posted times of 1:04.35 and 1:09.21 in prelims to rank among the top-25 in the conference in the 100-yard freestyle.
Becca Johnston was also effective in the 200-yard breaststroke, beating her seed time of 3:19.86 with a strong time of 3:15.30 in prelims. Johnston and Basham both finished up their collegiate careers on Saturday, a combined eight seasons of hard work for the veteran tandem.

Both the men's and women's swimming teams will enjoy the upcoming weeks off before beginning training for the 2026-27 campaign.
