Hiram Swimming Opens Up PAC Championship With Successful Performances

Terriers Make Progress On Days 1 And 2 Of PAC Championships

GROVE CITY, Pennsylvania - February 19, 2026- The Hiram Terriers swimming programs opened up PAC Championships on Wednesday and Thursday, which marked the beginning of a four-day meet at Grove City College. The Terriers opened up the meet and swam hard, with some impressive performances to start the event. 

As things currently stand, the men's tem is ranked fourth out of seven teams, while the women's team features a number of individual performers.

Day 1

On Day 1 of the PAC Championships, the Terriers opened with the 200-yard medley relay. This relay race saw the team of David Slovenkay, Jon Hybil, Owen Pastorius and Ethan O'Malley finish fourth with a time of 1:39.94. The Terriers also competed in the 800-yard medley relay, which saw the team of Hybil, Slovenkay, Pastorius, and Joe Krosky finish fifth with a time of 7:28.29. 

Day 2

On Day 2, the Terriers stayed steady on the team leaderboard, which generated some strong individual results. In the 500-yard freestyle, Pastorius finished in fourth place, swimming a time of 4:51.97. In the men's 50-meter freestyle, Jon Hybil had an impressive performance, finishing in 10th place with a time of 22.22. 

On the women's side of the 50-meter freestyle, Grace Basham and Mya Libertine had impressive performances, with Basham swimming a 28.54 and Libertine swimming a 29.41. Finally, in the men's 400-yard medley relay, the team of Krosky, O'Malley, Tanner Markley and Morrodox Sisowath finished in fifth place with a time of 4:06.39. 

What's Next:

The Terriers will be back in action on Friday, when they return to Grove City for Day 3 of the PAC Championships. Prelims start at 10 a.m., with the finals to follow during the evening session at 5:30 p.m.
