HIRAM, Ohio - March 6, 2026 - Hiram's Owen Pastorius was named a member of the All-PAC Second Team on Friday morning, as the senior capped off his career with his first ever all-conference selection following a strong performance at the PAC Championships.

The Presidents' Athletic Conference also named Pastorius to its All-PAC Sportsmanship Team, while senior Grace Basham earned the honor for the women's team.

Among Pastorius' many notable performances this season was his record-setting time in the 1500-meter freestyle (17:17.43), which was the fastest time by any swimmer at Alumni Memorial Pool all-time. He then took that stellar form and placed fourth in the A-Final of the 500-yard freestyle (4:51.97) and seventh in both the 200-yard freestyle (1:48.74) and 1650-yard freestyle (17:27.47).

Pastorius was also a member of the 200-yard medley relay, 800-yard freestyle relay, 200-yard freestyle relay and 400-yard freestyle relay teams. Three of those relay teams ranked among the top-five in the conference, with the team as a whole placing in fourth at the conclusion of the event.

The Pittsburgh, PA native finishes his career ranking among the top-three in the history of the program in the 500 freestyle, 1000 freestyle and 1650 freestyle. In addition to the PAC award, Pastorius also was an NCAC Athlete of the Week in October 2024.

Hiram swimming returns to competition in October, with 2026-27 marking the program's second season since returning to full-time PAC competition.
