Hiram, Ohio – May 4, 2026 – Tucker Marmash and Aidan Shiels of track & field, along with Hannah Schimmoeller of softball have earned this week's edition of Terriers of the Week. This comes after impressive individual performances by each athlete in their contests last week.
Marmash was outstanding at the PAC Outdoor Championships this past week, earning a victory in the long jump, marking a first career conference honor for the senior. Marmash jumped a winning mark of 6.83 m (22'-0.5) on his fourth jump, winning the event in his final conference meet. The senior from Akron, OH currently has a personal best of 7.20 m this season and will look to set his sights on a new personal best in Hiram's last chance meets.
Aidan Shiels continued to have an impressive freshman campaign, when he won the 800-meter race on Friday at the PAC Outdoor Championships. The freshman from Mentor, OH will look to carry the momentum into next week, when Hiram track & field travels to Berea, OH for the Harrison Dilliard Twilight meet.
Schimmoeller finished 8-20 (.400) last week at the plate in Hiram's six games, leading the team in hits during that stretch. The freshman from Oak Harbor, OH knocked in 8 RBI's total on the week, including a grand slam in the PAC Tournament Saturday against Saint Vincent. Schimmoeller finished her freshman season batting .354 with a .988 OPS from the plate (both 2nd on team), knocking in 23 RBI's with 6 doubles and triples on the season.
