HIRAM, Ohio - April 28, 2026 - Hiram's Aidan Shiels and Tucker Marmash were named PAC Track Athlete of the Week and Field Athlete of the Week on Tuesday late afternoon, as announced by the Presidents' Athletic Conference in a release.
It's the second time Marmash has won Field Athlete of the Week this season, and the first career conference-wide honor during the outdoor season for Shiels.
Shiels continued to take aim at his 800-meter record, posting a new personal and program best mark of 1:51.65 at the Mount Union Classic last Thursday in Alliance, OH. That mark currently ranks 17th in all of Division III, which puts him on track to qualify for the NCAA National Championships in La Crosse, WI.
Marmash neared a program record and set a new personal best in the long jump, posting a mark of 7.20m at Mount Union. The senior from Akron, OH placed fourth in the event behind three student-athletes from Indiana Tech, and is now closing in on the program record mark of 7.24m set by Gavin Dunn in 2025.
Hiram track & field returns to competition on Thursday for the PAC Championship in Morgantown, WV; a full event schedule for the two-day championships can be found here.
