HIRAM, Ohio - February 7, 2026- The Terrier track & field teams traveled to Oberlin on Friday to compete in the Dan Kinsey Invite and then traveled to Ashland on Friday and Saturday to compete in the Jud Logan Light Giver Open. Both meets brought impressive results, and a lot of success for the Terriers.
At the Dan Kinsey Invite:
For the women, there were multiple impressive results, starting in the 60 meter hurdles, where Trezure Bates and Makyndree Smith finished first and second, with Bates finishing with a time of 9.53 and Smith finishing with a time of 9.89. In the weight throw, Angelina Weems followed up her school record last week with another outstanding performance, with a throw of 13.97m. Kayla Mack was right behind Weems, where she threw 13.72m and finished third.  In the shot put, Kylie Moser finished fourth and Chloe Cooper finished fifth, with throws of 10.85 m and 10.75 m, respectively.
The men's side was also impressive, with many great performances. Sebastian Regalado improved on his school record, in which he finished in second place in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.83. Tucker Marmash took home first place in the high jump, in which he cleared 1.75m. In the shot put, Kenta Poole finished sixth with a throw of 12.25 meters. Finally, in the 200-meter dash, Taneil Gaddis finished in seventh place with a time of 24.08.
At the Jud Logan Light Giver Open:
At the Jud Logan Light Giver Open, it was also full of impressive performances in a very strong field. In the 800-meter race, DeAco Curry broke the school record, finishing with a time of 1:55.66. Aidan Shiels, who held the previous school record, also ran a new personal best, finishing with a time of 1:56.11. Kylie Moser continued her impressive weekend in the 800-meter race, where Moser finished with a time of 2:24.61. Elaine Guyette competed in the 3000-meter race, and finished with a time of 11:24.45 in a very competitive field. Trezure Bates and Makyndree Smith also continued their weekend in the 60-meter hurdles, where they both finished with a time of 9.74.
