HIRAM, Ohio - February 24, 2026 - Hiram's Angelina Weems was named PAC Field Athlete of the Week on Tuesday late afternoon, an announcement made official by the Presidents' Athletic Conference in a release.

It's the second athlete of the week award for Weems in her first collegiate season, as she also was the PAC Newcomer of the Week on Feb. 3. She was a Terrier of the Week selection on Feb. 2.

Weems continued to make a splash in her first collegiate season, winning the women's weight throw with a new school record of 15.37m (50' 5¼") at the Mount Union Tuneup this past Friday in Alliance, OH. Weems beat her previous best of 14.84m (48' 8.0"), and currently ranks first in the PAC in that particular event.

The first-year also competed in the shot put, placing seventh with a mark of 10.47m (34' 4¼").

Weems will look to further the momentum from the weekend when she competes in the biggest event of her collegiate career on Thursday; the Warren, OH native and her teammates will be participating in the PAC Indoor Championships in Youngstown, OH.
