OBERLIN, Ohio - April 27, 2025 - Kylie Moser put the Hiram women's track & field team in fifth place in the current NCAC Championship standings, as the sophomore from Norwalk, OH continued to pile up the PRs and finished seventh in the heptathlon on Sunday at Kahn Track (Oberlin College).
With the result, Moser scored Hiram two points for the NCAC Combined Events, with the NCAC Championships to follow this Friday and Saturday in Greencastle, IN.
Following the 200-meter dash, 100-meter hurdles, high jump and shot put on Saturday, Moser jumped back into the action with the long jump, javelin and 800-meter run on Sunday. You can read the full recap for Saturday here.
Highlighting the day was the 800-meter run, which saw Moser place second to only DePauw senior Katie Moore, who went on to win the event after earning all-american status during the indoor season. Moser's PR time of 2:25.34 was close to Moore (2:24.39), and far from the rest of the field, with the next-best time being 2:34.76.
In the long jump, Moser posted a mark of 4.11m in just her third career appearance for the event. Shortly thereafter, Moser competed in the javelin, ranking fourth in the field of 12 student-athletes with a clip of 27.36m – that mark was also the best among the five underclasswomen in the event.
Hiram will now prepare for the NCAC Championships, which will be hosted by DePauw University in just five days.
