HIRAM, Ohio - February 17, 2026 – Hiram's Karalyn Rutkowski was named PAC Field Athlete of the Week by the Presidents' Athletic Conference on Tuesday late afternoon, as announced by the conference in a release.
It marks the first PAC-wide honor for the senior from Middlefield, OH; Rutkowski was previously an All-NCAC honoree in the indoor high jump in February 2025, and now has set aim at reaching even higher heights this season.
Rutkowski earned first place in the high jump at the All-Ohio Championships (1.63 meters, 5-4.25) this past Saturday, which marked a new personal best and a championship title to add to her resume. That mark also places Rutkowski in a tie for 35th place in all of Division III in the indoor high jump; a top-20 mark would put her on pace to qualify for the NCAA Indoor National Championship, which is in mid-March in Birmingham, AL.
Rutkowski and the rest of the team will return to action this weekend; Hiram will participate in the Mount Union Tuneup on Friday and the Warren G. Harding PAC Tuneup on Saturday.
