Hiram Track & Field Team Has Record-Breaking Weekend

Terriers Have Very Successful Meets At Mount Union And Warren G. Harding

HIRAM, Ohio - February 21, 2026 - Hiram track and field competed at both the Mount Union Tuneup on Friday and the Warren G. Harding PAC Tuneup on Saturday, a pair of indoor meets that marked the team's final events ahead of the PAC Indoor Championships next Thursday. 

At The Mount Union Tuneup 

Angelina Weems continued to make a splash in her first collegiate season, winning the women's weight throw with a new school record of 15.37m (50' 5¼"). Weems beat her previous best of 14.84m (48' 8.0"), and currently ranks first in the PAC in that particular event. In the shot put, Kayla Mack tied her PR with a mark of 10.99m (36' 0¾"). 

On the men's side, both Kenta Poole (12.85m) and Reginald Coats (10.51m) posted PRs in the shot put. Poole entered the day on Saturday ranked seventh in the PAC for the indoor shot put. 

At The WGH PAC Tuneup 

Kevin Dycks won the 60-meter dash finals, taking the top spot with a time of 7.03, which breaks his own school record (7.06) in that event. Another indoor record set on the men's side was the 4x400 meter relay team of Kamran Walton, Nathan Feltner, DeAco Curry, and Aiden Shiels, which ran a time of 3:29.92, breaking the previous record by almost two seconds. In the 60-meter hurdles, Sebastian Regalado qualified for the finals and also broke his own school record, finishing with a personal best of 8.69 seconds and a third-place finish as well.  

On the women's side, Mikayla Palmer finished in third place in the 60-meter finals, breaking a new school record in the process, finishing with a time of 8.31. The Terriers kept up that momentum, with Trezure Bates in the 60-meter hurdles, breaking her own school record and running a personal best in the finals, finishing with a time of 9.29 and winning that event. In the 800 meters, Kylie Moser and Abby Guyette finished in third and fourth place, with Moser running a time of 2:29.27 and Guyette finishing with a time of 2:29.76. Kelsey Downs rounded out the results by beating her own program record in the triple jump with a mark of 9.18m.

Hiram will now get set for its biggest meet of the season; both the men's and women's teams will head to Youngstown, OH for the PAC Indoor Championships on Thursday.
