HIRAM, Ohio – December 6, 2025 – Hiram men's and women's indoor track and field competed at Mount Union on Saturday afternoon, marking the first action of the 2025-26 indoor season. The Terriers competed very hard, with multiple student-athletes breaking indoor records and setting new personal bests.Â
For the running events, the Terriers swept the 800-meter races, with Aidan Shiels running a 1:58 to take the victory on the men's side and Kylie Moser taking home a victory on the women's side, running a 2:27. Also winning was the men's 4x200 meter relay team, running 1:40. Finishing third in the 60-meter hurdles was junior Trezure Bates, who ran a time of 9.73 seconds. Â
On the field side, breaking a school record for the women's weight throw was Chloe Cooper, who threw 12.82 meters, beating the previous record of 11.40 meters. Also breaking the school record in the shot put was Sam Volpe, who beat her previous record of 11.71 meters and threw 12.17 meters on Saturday, which sets a new personal best and was enough for a second-place finish.  Â
The Terriers will be back in action on January 24, when they travel to Geneva, Ohio for the Spire Midwest Open.Â
