CANTON, Ohio - November 21, 2025 - Hiram resumed action at the Malone Invitational on Friday, as both the men's and women's teams competed on Day 2 of the three-day event at Branin Natatorium.

With more teams entering the field, Hiram currently stands in 10th place (men) and 15th place (women) in a loaded field of Division II and Division III teams.

The men's side was again spearheaded by seniors Owen Pastorius and Jon Hybil, who collectively earned their team multiple points between the 200-yard freestyle and 100-yard breaststroke events respectively. In the finals for each event, Pastorius swam a 1:47.63 and Hybil swam a 1:02.04 to each land among the best in the B-Finals for the two events.

In the relays, the men's team featured the 200-yard medley relay team of David Slovenkay, Hybil, Joe Krosky and Ethan O'Malley (1:41.60). That group finished in 10th place, ahead of PAC rivals like Washington and Jefferson and Chatham.

The women's team featured first-year Mya Libertine in the 100-yard butterfly (1:17.85), Rebecca Johnston in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:31.53) and Grace Basham in the 100-yard backstroke (1:15.41). The team of Basham, Johnston, Libertine and Anna Hisrich also earned their team a pair of points in the 200-yard medley relay (2:29.31).

The Terriers will look to finish the Malone Invitational strong on Saturday, when they wrap up the event inside Branin Natatorium.
