ANGOLA, Ind. – January 22, 2022 – Hiram women's wrestling picked up a series of wins competing in a tri-match vs.Davenport and Trine on Saturday afternoon.

Kylee Bentley picked up her first win of the day after defeating Kelsey Novagradac of Davenport by fall at the 4:50 mark. In her second match of the day, she took down Riley Morrison of Trine also by fall at 2:25.

Alicia Mendez of Davenport defeated Bethany Smith of Hiram by fall at 4:23 in the first match of the afternoon for Smith. The Carnation, Wash. native rebounded, however, as she beat Michelle Sanchez of Trine by fall at 5:34.

In her lone dual of the afternoon, Kinora Hayes took down Ashton Francis of Trine by fall at 2:26.

The Terriers competed in two exhibition matches on the day with Katie Vogt-Shields and JoRee Ybarra competing. Vogt-Shields defeated Ashton Francis of Trine by fall at 2:53. Ybarra also beat Francis by fall, with her time coming at 1:49.

With the conclusion of today's event, Hiram hits the home stretch of their schedule with three regular season events remaining. The team next hits the mats on Saturday, Jan. 29 taking part in the Dragon Duals at Tiffin starting at 9 a.m.
