HIRAM, Ohio – January 15, 2022 – Hiram women's wrestling competed in their first home event in program history facing off with Elmira in a dual meet Saturday afternoon.

Kylee Bentley and
Kinora Hayes were the four Terriers to hit the mat inside Price Gymnasium.
Bentley (1-0), in her lone match of the afternoon, pinned Lily Rabine of Elmira earning the victory.
Justice Green of Elmira defeated Ybarra (0-2) by decision with the score 11-5. In her second match, the Wayne, Okla. native squared off against Georgianna Ustaszewski where she was pinned at 31 seconds.
Hayes (0-2) also competed in two matches during the event facing off against Hazel Dalquist and Skylah Chakouian of Elmira. Hayes was pinned in each match at the 44-second mark and the 2:30 mark.
Smith competed in her matches during the dual meet against Tiante Murray, Merci Jessop and Leslie Monterrossa. Murray defeated Smith by TS 10-0 in her first match. Smith was pinned in her final two matches against Jessop and Monterrossa at 33 seconds and 5:15.
The team next hits the mats at Trine on Saturday, Jan. 22 at 1 p.m. where they will face off against host school Trine and Davenport in Angola, Ind.
