HIRAM, Ohio- The Hiram College softball team dropped two in a doubleheader matchup against DePauw, Saturday afternoon.
The Tigers handed the Terriers an 11-3 loss in game one and a 14-0 defeat in the second game.
Hiram was the first to score in the opening inning of game one with Isabelle Gonzales making her way home (1-0).
The Tigers would respond in the third and fourth combining for nine runs in the two frames.
Depauw ended the game in six innings as they posted two runs in the sixth to secure the 10-3 win.
The Tigers opened game two with a three-run inning to pull ahead 3-0.
From there DePauw would continue to keep Hiram runless before capitalizing off the last three innings where they posted 11 of their 14 runs.
The Tigers ended the game in five innings, moving to 7-0 in conference play with the two victories.
The Terriers will hit the field on Sunday, April 11, as they host Ohio Wesleyan. The conference doubleheader matchup is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. start.
