Women's Soccer Blanked by the University of Texas at Dallas

Aug. 31- RICHARDSON, Texas- The Hiram College women's soccer team opened up their season dropping a 2-0 decision to the University of Texas at Dallas, Friday night. 
 
The host opened up the scoring 3:51 into the first half. Jessica Rusk took advantage of a pass from a corner-kick opportunity to put the Comets on the board.
 
Down by one goal, the Terriers posted four shots in an effort to cut the first half deficit. 
 
Leading 1-0, the Comets would go on to score one last time inside the five-minute mark to put away the 2-0 win. 
 
Hiram tallied seven shots in the game, placing two on net. In goal, junior Ally Green made a career-high 18 saves.
 
The Terriers close out their Texas trip Saturday, Sept. 1, as they take on Alfred. The matchup in Dallas, Texas is set for a 7:00 p.m. start.
