HIRAM, Ohio - October 18, 2025 - The Hiram women's soccer team honored two seniors on Saturday afternoon, taking time to recognize their years of dedication and impact, both on the field and in the classroom, as well as their lasting contributions to Hiram College and the campus community.

Hiram fell just short of victory to Geneva College, 1-0, at Henry Field. Seniors Bella Simmons and Olivia Kraft fueled the Terriers offensively throughout the contest, something they have done consistently in their eight combined seasons spent with the program. 

Simmons provided constant opportunities for the Terriers' offense. In the early minutes of the game, Simmons broke in the open field and had a strong shot on target that resulted in an impressive save by Geneva. Soon after, she would set up Kali Baker with a chance to score. 

Simmons carried this momentum into the second half, as she had another fiery shot on goal that almost snuck into the back of the net. In the 64th minut,e Ava Little would get an open shot, courtesy of Simmons, that just missed right of the net. 

Kraft would also chip into the offense in the second half, as she had three shots on target in an eight-minute span. 

Hiram held Geneva to ten shots and a single shot on target. Ultimately, that would turn into the Golden Tornadoes lone goal as Renae Mohrbacher had a put-back kick that found the back of the net off a corner kick in the 72nd minute of the match. 

The Terriers will return to the field on Wednesday, when they host Waynesburg at 6 p.m.
