HIRAM, Ohio - October 22, 2025 - Hiram women's soccer dropped a competitive PAC battle to Waynesburg, 2-0, on Wednesday evening at Henry Field.
Â
It was a tough match against an even tougher opponent; the Yellow Jackets entered play with a 12-1-2 overall record (6-0-2 PAC) and finished the day as one of two unbeaten teams in PAC play this season (Grove City).
Â
Despite the loss, the Terriers held an opponent to two-or-fewer goals for the fourth straight contest, which is tied for the team's longest such winning streak of the 2025 season.
Â
Hiram's Bella Simmons presented her team with an opportunity to score in the 69th minute, firing a shot toward the middle-right portion of the goal, which ended up being saved. Madie Kennedy spearheaded the defensive effort with 11 saves, tying a career-high (11 at Oberlin earlier this season).
Â
The Terriers will get another chance to get back in the win column on Saturday, when they travel to Steubenville, OH for a matchup with Franciscan at 1 p.m.
