STEUBENVILLE, Ohio - October 25, 2025 - Hiram's Olivia Kraft recorded her third goal of the season, which is the second-most on her team and the most in a single season of her five-year career, but the Terriers couldn't get over the hump in a 4-1 loss to Franciscan on Saturday afternoon.
Kraft carved out a 1-0 lead for the road team by scoring off a Reagan Mory assist in the ninth period. It was part of a successful first half that saw all three of Hiram's shots find the target.
Franciscan swiftly responded, though, scoring in the 12th and 18th minutes to ignite the home crowd and grab a 2-1 advantage. The Terriers' Summer Satterfield, who was making her first career start, stood strong in goal for the remainder of the first half by recording a pair of saves to keep it a one-goal margin heading into the intermission.
The Barons extended their lead in the second half behind goals from Brenna Pereira and Mara O'Leary. Franciscan had four different student-athletes score a goal in the contest.
Kraft finished the day with another shot on goal, giving her a team-high two shots on target for the afternoon.
Hiram will finish the season on Wednesday, when it hosts Chatham at 8:30 p.m. from Henry Field in Hiram, OH.
