April 28- MEADVILLE, Pa.- The Terrier women's lacrosse program completed the regular season by dropping a 22-8 decision to Allegheny on Saturday afternoon. 

 

The Gators controlled the opening half, outscoring the Terriers 11-4 through the first 30 minutes of action.

 

Down 4-0 the Terriers got on the board off a Katelyn Slomovitz goal from an assist by Sierah Ray. After the assists, Ray knocked in a shot to collect her first goal of the night to cut the Allegheny lead down to 4-2. 

 

The duo didn't stop there with a little more than seven minutes remaining in the first half, Ray scored her second goal of the game before assisting Slomovitz to put the Gators in reach by two (6-4). 

 

Allegheny controlled the remaining minutes adding five more goals before halftime. 

 

The second stanza mirrored the first, with the Gators holding an 11-4, edge to round out the scoring at 22-8. Both Ray and Slomovitz picked up an additional two goals apiece in the final frame. 

 

Ray played in her final game in a Terrier uniform, finishing the matchup with four goals. After today's game, the senior has now set a new school record in shots in a season (133) surpassing Autumn Osgood (120) who previously set the record in 2017. Ray also tallied two groundballs to officially become the school leader with 62 groundballs in a season. 

 

The Terriers finished the season 6-10 overall and 0-8 in conference play. The six wins set a new standard for wins in a season.
