HIRAM, Ohio – April 22, 2026 – Hiram women's lacrosse lost its home finale for the 2026 season on Wednesday late afternoon, as the team battled throughout all 60 minutes but ultimately lost to Washington and Jefferson, 22-0, at Henry Field.
It marked the final home game for the season for the Terriers, who are in the closing stretch of knocking out their first year of competition since 2020.
W&J had eight different players record at least two goals, a balanced effort that propelled the team to a 7-2 PAC record and extended a six-game win streak. The Presidents currently rank third in the conference and have already secured a spot in the year-end PAC Tournament.
Hiram was led by Janelle Steiner, who had team-highs in ground balls (three), caused turnovers (three) and draw controls (three). Sophie Bystrom tallied a pair of shots, while Kasey Kelhoffer nearly converted on a late shot attempt in the fourth quarter.
The Terriers will be back in action on Saturday, when they head to Beaver Falls, PA for a road matchup with Geneva College. Start time is slated for 7 p.m.
