April 28- SPRINGFIELD, Ohio- The Hiram College softball team dropped both games in the North Coast Athletic Conference doubleheader with Wittenberg, Saturday afternoon.

In game one, the Terriers fell 13-3 in five innings. The first run of the game came from sophomore Shalynn Call in the bottom of the fourth inning.  The next Hiram run was off a single from sophomore Bebe Grein to bring home freshman Mariah Sheffield. With the bases loaded, sophomore Alexus Acton closed out the fourth inning scoring off a walk from freshman Kaitlyn Hager.

The Tigers posted the majority of their runs in the fourth inning, as eight different runners crossed the plate in the frame. Wittenberg put together 11 of their 13 hits in the inning.

In the second game, Hiram was the first to get on the board with an early 2-0 advantage from runs by Acton and junior Carmen West.
