MEADVILLE, Pa. -- The Hiram College women's lacrosse team fell at NCAC foe Allegheny (Pa.) by a 14-2 score on Thursday evening.
The Terriers are now 4-10 on the season and 0-5 in NCAC play, while the Gators improve to 8-6, 4-1.
Allegheny did not allow Hiram to score in the first half and jumped out to a 10-0 lead at the break.
After the Gators scored a goal to open the second half, junior Autumn Osgood (Hyde Park, Vt./Lamoille Union) registered her team leading 40th goal of the season on a free position shot to get the Terriers on the board.
Sophomore Katelyn Slomovitz (Kent, Ohio/Roosevelt) also scored a goal at the 2:43 mark of the second half. Junior Kayla Jenkins (Solon, Ohio/Solon) recorded the assist on the play.
Sophomore Rachel Metcalf (Stow, Ohio/Stow-Munroe Falls) made nine saves in goal for Hiram.
Allegheny held a slim 10-7 edge in draw controls.
The Terriers will look to rebound on Saturday, April 23, with a 1 p.m. contest at Wittenberg.
