UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio -- The Hiram College men's soccer team fell to non-conference foe John Carroll by a 3-0 score on Saturday night.
The Terriers are now 3-2-2 on the season, while the Blue Streaks improve to 4-2-1.
John Carroll struck for goals in the 25th and 42nd minute and added an insurance goal in the 62nd minute.
Senior Richie Webb (London, England/Laude Lady Elizabeth School) paced the Hiram offensive attack with two shots. Sohomore Bryan Burrows (Hudson, Ohio), sophomore Blake Easterling (Barberton, Ohio) and sophomore Trever Wendel (Aurora, Ohio) each also tallied a shot in the contest for Hiram.
Senior Matt Sacher (Akron, Ohio/Coventry) made one save in goal and junior Chris Lindemeyer (Lodi, Ohio/Cloverleaf) made five saves in one half of action.
JCU finished with a 14-5 edge in shots, including a 9-1 advantage in shots on goal.
Hiram will return to action on Wednesday, when it closes out its four-game roadtrip at Capital at 7 p.m.
