HIRAM, Ohio – October 22, 2025 - The Hiram men's soccer team ended their clash with Waynesburg in a 0-0 tie in a cold and rainy battle that saw both teams fighting for position. Â
Hiram came into Wednesday's game in 8th place, looking to inch closer to the top-six mark, which includes a spot in the PAC tournament. The Terriers gained a hard-fought point, which now marks them tied for seventh place with Waynesburg. This tie puts them really close to that coveted sixth place spot, a mark that the Terriers are looking to make.Â
As for the game, the Terriers fought hard for every ball, giving the Yellow Jacket defense a hard time; the Terriers managed to tally eight shots total on the game. The defense of the Terriers also played hard, only managing to give up three shots on goal for the entire game.Â
The Terrier defense and goalkeeping was anchored by Derek Ufholz, who managed his seventh clean sheet of the season in only 12 starts. The freshman from Mentor, OH made three crucial saves that kept the Terriers in the game. Â
The Terriers will be back in action on Saturday afternoon, when they travel to Franciscan University for another key PAC matchup. The game is slated for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff.
