Kost leads Men's Swimming & Diving at Baldwin Wallace

BEREA, OHIO -- Freshman John Kost (Chantilly, Va./Westfield) won the 100-yard backstroke to lead the Hiram College men's swimming & diving team in a 114-86 loss at Baldwin Wallace on Saturday.

The Terriers drop to 0-7, while the Yellow Jackets improve to 3-5.

Kost touched in 1:01.89 and was also second in the 200-yard I.M. in 2:12.88.

Sophomore Jamal Hill (Inglewood, Calif./Junipero Serra) was second in the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard freestyle in 26.01 and 57.66, respectively.

Senior Jordan Canevari (Vero Beach, Fla./St. Edwards) was second in the 200-yard freestyle and freshman Devon Ball (Cuyahoga Falls) was second in the 100-yard butterfly in 1:04.87.

Junior Danny Essel (Euclid) recorded a second place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:07.53.

Hiram will compete again on December 6, when it hosts Bethany (W. Va.) at 1 p.m.
