HIRAM, Ohio – February 3, 2026 – Hiram men's volleyball came out of the weekend with two wins over three matches at the AMCC/PAC Crossover in Erie, PA, marking a successful start to the season. In addition to this success, first-year Liam Dwyer took home PAC Newcomer of the Week for his first career conference-wide award, as announced by the Presidents' Athletic Conference on Tuesday late afternoon.

Dwyer contributed in a variety of ways for the Terriers as part of a 2-1 week at the AMCC/PAC Crossover, totaling 19 kills, eight total blocks and seven digs over three matches against Hilbert, Penn State Altoona and Penn State Behrend. Dating back to the team's season opener in the previous week, Dwyer has at least six kills in all four of his career matches played.

The Pittsburgh native is currently making moves, leading the team in blocks with ten and also being one of four student-athletes on the team with 25+ kills on the season.

The team will return to action with a non-conference road match on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Timken Gymnasium, where they will take on Mount Union.
