HIRAM, Ohio - January 8, 2026 - Hiram men's wrestling competed in its final regular season home dual on Thursday afternoon, which also marked the final event inside Price Gymnasium before the PAC Championships on Feb. 15. The Terriers had a number of highly entertaining bouts, but fell just short of victory to Saint Vincent, 37-14.
The dual marked Hiram's third against a PAC opponent this season, with the team previously losing to Thiel (37-10) and beating Waynesburg (41-18).
Taveon Moss (125 lbs) got the dual started on the right foot, beating Dylan Klim by fall (1:33) to give the Terriers an early six-point advantage. The win marked Moss's team-high 16th win of the campaign, nine of which have been pins.
King-Amari Wright (165 lbs) joined his freshman teammate in the winner's circle, topping Connor Bauerline by major decision (11-3). Wright is nearing a .500 record for the campaign, as he finishes the week with a 7-8 record in his first collegiate season.
The final victory of the day came from first-year Issac Ray, who beat Saint Vincent's Judson Dean by major decision (13-3). Ray nearly won the bout by fall at the last second of the second period, but the action was ruled as a near fall instead.
Hiram will continue dual competition on Saturday, Jan. 17 with the Jim White Duals on the campus of Washington & Jefferson College.
