WESTERVILLE, Ohio - January 30, 2026 - Hiram's Alazhandra Williams took center stage and performed well against a pair of strong opponents, as the first-year snagged a pair of wins despite the team's two dual losses, 39-10 to Otterbein and 43-5 to Manchester.
Williams (180 lbs) beat Manchester's Claire Bennett by technical fall (12-1) and Otterbein's Kaitlyn McCann by fall (0:35) to earn her team a combined nine classification points across the two duals. For the season, Williams is the third wrestler on the team to have 15+ wins, while also holding the highest win percentage on the team (.625, 15-9 record).
Emily Lorenzon (207 lbs) picked up a win by forfeit, while Kretina Rai (124 lbs), DeJonae Rivers (131 lbs) and Allydia Byard (160 lbs) also competed on the evening.
Hiram will send a few select wrestlers to University Heights, OH for the team's next event at the JCU Women's Open on Sunday at 10 a.m.
