Fink, Williams Earn NCAA Scholar All-American Awards

Women’s Wrestling Honored By NWCA For Academic Success

HIRAM, Ohio – April 3, 2026 – Emrie Fink and Alazhandra Williams of women's wrestling were recently announced as NCAA Scholar All-Americans at the conclusion of the season. Both student athletes showed a strong commitment to the classroom and on the mat, which led to their impressive selection by the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA). Fink and Williams join a group of 540 student-athletes across 92 NCAA institutions for their academic success throughout the season.  

Fink had an impressive freshman campaign on the mat, posting 14 wins in 30 matches, which includes five pins. Fink was a key member of the Terriers success early in the season, and will look forward to returning to the mat next season. 

Williams had an outstanding freshman season, which was capped off by winning the AMCC Newcomer of the Year award at the end of the season. Williams posted a 21-13 record on the year, totaling a win percentage of 62%, which also included 11 pins. Williams was a huge member of the Terriers, scoring plenty of victories, which included the NCAA Regional.  

Both Williams and Fink, along with the rest of the Terriers women's wrestling team, will return to action next winter, as they look to build off of the success of this season.
