Both Alazhandra Williams (180 lbs) and Emily Lorenzon (207 lbs) earned All-AMCC First Team honors, while Allydia Byard landed an All-AMCC Second Team selection. Williams was also named the AMCC Newcomer of the Year, capping off an exciting stretch for a Terriers team that now enters the postseason with plenty of momentum.
Williams currently features a 20-11 record through the AMCC Championship, which gives her a team-best win percentage of .645. Lorenzon has been a consistent force throughout her first season with the Hiram Terriers program, posting a 20-20 record, which includes a team-high 40 bouts and team-high 12 pins. Lorenzon notably won both of her bouts at the AMCC Championship, which carved out her first career All-AMCC title for the 207-lb weight class.
Byard's senior season started late, but quickly displayed a strong return to form, with the Greenwich, OH native tallying eight pins over nine total victories. She also placed second at the AMCC Championships to become the only wrestler in program history to earn multiple all-conference awards.
The Terriers will next compete in the NCAA Northeast Regional on Friday and Saturday in Tiffin, OH.
