DELAWARE, Ohio - January 23, 2026 - Hiram extended its winning streak of Ohio Wesleyan to two with a 25-24 dual win on Friday evening against the former conference opponent.
The dual came down to a tiebreaker, with both teams squared up at 24-24 before the Terriers claimed the win thanks to an advantage in near fall points (12-10). Hiram also beat the Battling Bishops last season inside Price Gymnasium, 26-17.
It was a well-rounded performance for the road team, with freshman Taveon Moss (125 lbs) opening the dual with a win by forfeit before senior Will Brodbeck (149 lbs) earned a win by decision (10-4) over Gabe Bulugaris. Moss added to his team-leading tally of victories, while Brodbeck returned to the win column in his final season of collegiate competition.
With the score standing at 11-9 in favor of OWU, Hiram continued to peck away, as Jackson Bowers (157 lbs) won by major decision and King-Amari Wright won by fall (3:45) to give Hiram some cushion. The Terriers led, 19-11, with five bouts remaining.
Issac Ray (184 lbs) was the last to enter the winner's circle, beating Andrew Mushkin by technical fall (18-1). Ohio Wesleyan eventually leveled the dual in the heavyweight class, but Hiram's advantage in near fall points proved to be the final difference.
The Terriers with the duals on Friday, when they head to Painesville, OH for a matchup against Lake Erie College at 4 p.m.
