HIRAM, Ohio - January 19, 2026 - For the third time this season, Hiram's Taveon Moss earned PAC Newcomer of the Week, as announced by the Presidents' Athletic Conference on Monday late afternoon.
Not only is Moss racking up the awards, but he also is piling up the pins, as evidenced by another two pins this past Saturday at the Jim White Duals on the campus of Washington & Jefferson College. Moss beat Wilmington's Cody Lisle by fall, Mount St. Joseph's Dakota Phillips by sudden victory and Washington & Jefferson's Holden Dubois by fall, increasing his team-high win total to 19.
Among those 19 wins is 11 pins, which passes Devan Welch (10 pins in 2022-23) for the most pins in a single season since the program returned to competition in 2021-22. It also gives Moss plenty of momentum and a shot at all-conference honors when the Terriers host the PAC Championships on Sunday, Feb. 15.
Before that big conference meet, Hiram will have three different duals, beginning with a matchup against Ohio Wesleyan this upcoming Friday at 7 p.m. in Delaware, OH.
