WASHINGTON, Pennsylvania - November 8, 2025 - Hiram men's wrestling placed 22nd at the W&J Invitational on Saturday, another chance for the team to gain some valuable repetitions in the early stages of the season for a young and talented roster.

First-year Taveon Moss had a breakout performance in the 125-lb bracket, beating Pitt-Bradford and Lycoming by fall before losing his final two bouts. Moss now has five wins this season, all of which have come on pins.

Senior Will Brodbeck had one of the busiest days on the team, going 3-2 on the day with a win by three different methods. Brodbeck won by technical fall over Alfred State (17-2), major decision over Mount St. Joseph (15-5) and by decision over Penn State Behrend (12-8).

Sophomore Jackson Bowers joined his teammate with a 3-2 record of his own, bouncing back from an early loss to the host institution by beating Mount St. Joseph, South Virginia and Lycoming. First-year Dino Longo also won a pair of bouts to round out a successful day for the Terriers.

Hiram will return to the mats on Saturday, Nov. 22 for the Baldwin Wallace Invitational.
