HIRAM, Ohio – November 25, 2025 – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) released the 2025 CSC Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer teams on Tuesday, which honors student-athletes from the Division I, Division II, Division III and NAIA levels for their performance both athletically and academically.
Hiram College had eight student-athletes earn this distinguished honor. Bella Simmons, Kali Baker, Madie Kennedy, and Vanessa Anthony represented the women's team while Alex Lineen, Carmine Boscarello, Liam O'Brien and Simon Schonfeld stood for the men's team.
A student-athlete becomes eligible if they are at least a sophomore and hold a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher. They must also have participated in at least 90% of the institution's games or started in a minimum of 66% of those games during the most recent season. Each team may nominate up to four student-athletes.
Simmons, a two-time recipient of the award, capped off her Hiram career with a season-high five goals. The senior from Amherst, OH finished her remarkable career with 10 goals and five assists. Simmons started 50 out of 52 games for the Terriers in her three years with the program.
Baker served a key role for the Terriers on both sides of the field this past season. She finished the season with two goals and one assist, while helping the backline of the Terriers defense. Baker started all 18 matches in 2025.
Kennedy started 16 out of 17 matches as the starting goalkeeper for the Terriers. The sophomore from Superior, CO recorded a career-high 11 saves against Oberlin on Sept. 20 and again versus Waynesburg on Oct. 22. Kennedy totaled 89 saves on the year for a .774 save percentage.
Originally from Mentor, OH, Anthony transferred to Hiram after spending a year at Ursuline College. Anthony started all 18 games for the Terriers this past fall and recorded seven shots, while also bringing experience and leadership to the roster.
On the men's side, Lineen led the Terriers with a breakout year. The sophomore from Hamburg, NY doubled his goal total from the previous season and led the PAC in shots taken. Lineen has started 35 out 35 games throughout his career.
A CSC All-District selection for the second straight year and All-PAC Honorable Mention selection, Schonfeld was an integral part of the Terrier's defense. The junior captain started all games, while leading the team in minutes played.
O'Brien, also a CSC All-District selection for the second straight year, was a force at midfield for the Terriers. The junior from Hartford, OH recorded five shots and a shot on target while staying steady on defense in a full-time starting role.
Boscarello had a breakout season in 2025. The All-PAC Honorable Mention selection doubled his goals (four), assists (three), and points (11) from the previous season. His best stretch of the season came against Allegheny on Oct. 11, where he had one goal and one assist and added another goal against Bethany on Oct. 14. Boscarello has started 33 out of 33 games for the Terriers through two seasons.
Both soccer teams not only featured these high-achieving student-athletes, but they did so while increasing their win totals from prior seasons as a returning member of the Presidents' Athletic Conference. The two rosters will train throughout the winter and spring before returning to competition in a highly anticipated 2026 campaign.
