HIRAM, Ohio - November 24, 2025 - Hiram's Taveon Moss was named PAC Newcomer of the Week on Monday late afternoon, as announced by the Presidents' Athletic Conference.

It's the first PAC-wide honor for the Terriers this season, which is also the program's second season in the conference since transitioning from the AMCC.

Moss made the biggest impact on the team this past weekend at the Baldwin Wallace Invitational, placing fifth in the entire bracket for the 125-lb weight class. He beat Albion and Muskingum by fall to advance to the third round of the main bracket, putting himself within striking distance of a semifinal berth.

Despite losing West Liberty, Moss bounced back with three more wins in the consolation bracket to claim fifth place crown; the Roxboro, NC native beat West Liberty by fall (1:40), Trine by sudden victory (14-11) and West Liberty again by major decision (17-5) to earn a team-high five wins and join teammate Will Brodbeck as the second student-athlete on the team to place at an event this season.

Hiram men's wrestling will next host Thiel on Friday, Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. inside Price Gymnasium.
