OBERLIN, Ohio – October 18,2025- The Hiram cross country teams competed at the Oberlin Interregional Rumble on Saturday morning, earning multiple personal bests and season bests in a very competitive meet.
For the women, the Terriers were led by MacKenzie Norton, who has already had a stellar freshman campaign, finishing 109th with a 25:29 in the 6K. Next for the Terriers was Kylie Moser, who ran a season-best 25:35 and a 115th-place finish. Elaine Guyette placed behind her teammates, running hard to a 124th-place finish and a 25:50 time. Two seconds later finished McKenzie Riley, who ran a 25:52, which is eight seconds off her season best. Rounding out the scoring for Hiram was Taryn Trem, who ran a 27:47 and finished in 152nd place. Also running hard for the Terriers was Kylee Neer, who ran a time of 30:01, which beat her previous personal best by 50 seconds.
For the men, the Terriers were led by Cayden Jones, who ran a hard 8K race, running to a clip of 31:00 and almost beating his personal best (off by four seconds). Not far behind finished Michael Crosby, who shattered his old 8K personal best, running over a minute-and-a-half better with a time of 31:22. Two seconds later finished Tanner Markley, who ran a new season-best, recording a time of 31:24, which beat his old season-best by 23 seconds. Next, first-year Aidan Jefferson crossed the line with a 32:46 finish, which is also a new personal-best, beating out his old one by six seconds. Rounding out the Terriers was Connor Green, running a season-best time of his own.
The Hiram cross country team will be back in action on Saturday, November 1, when they travel to Meadville, Pennsylvania for the PAC Championships hosted by Allegheny College.
