Lorain, OH – September 11, 2026 – The Hiram Terriers Cross Country team traveled to Lorain, OH at Lorain County Community College's course for their second meet on Friday afternoon. The Terriers would run well in a four-team race against LCCC, Mount Union, and Baldwin Wallace. 

Leading the way for the women was McKenzie Riley, who posted a 19th place finish with a time of 22:02.8, which is a new season best for Riley. Finishing right behind Riley was Elaine Guyette and Taryn Trem, who finished 20th and 21st with times of 22:05 and 22:20. Rounding out the scoring for Hiram were Victoria Freeman and Natalie White, who helped Hiram secure a second-place finish. 

On the men's side, the Terriers fought hard, competing in their first 8K race of the season. Michael Crosby led the way for Hiram, posting a time of 31:32, which was good enough for a 30th place finish.  Next up for Hiram was Aidan Jefferson, who finished 37th, coming through with a time of 32:50. Three spots later finished Ayub Salad, who came across the line with a time of 33:26, completing his first 8K race as a freshman. 

Hiram will be back in action on Saturday, September 26th, when they travel to Youngstown, OH for the PAC preview, giving the Terriers their chance to run on the PAC Championship course for the first time.
