ADA, Ohio - December 2, 2023 - The Hiram men's wrestling team traveled to Ada, Ohio for the Ohio Northern Invitational, where the team placed 14th and had multiple student-athletes walk away with a win. 

Sophomore Will Brodbeck (141 lbs) got the team going with a win by technical fall against Heidelberg's Michael Hatgas (17-1). Brodbeck would lose his next two bouts by fall, but scored points in a tough field of competition.

Senior Seth Holt (165 lbs) had the biggest day for the Terriers; his wins over Washington & Jefferson by fall (1:58) and Alma by decision (7-5) carved out a berth in the fourth round of the consolation bracket. He would lose to Otterbein by technical fall, but finished the day with four quality bouts.

Freshman Hayden Berry, a Terrier of the Week selection earlier this season, also picked up a win by decision against Otterbein's Sam Wegesin (10-7). It was another step forward for what has been a successful season for the first-year student-athlete.

Hiram will return home for its first meet inside Price Gymnasium on Thursday; the team will face Thiel College at 7 p.m.
