Box Score Hiram, OH -- October 22, 2022 -- Kenyon re-captured the lead -- the fourth lead change of the game -- with 6:18 remaining to play on a 14-yard touchdown pass from senior quarterback Ryan O'Leary to senior wide receiver Finn Murray to take a 34-31 lead. That was the culmination of a seven-play, 75-yard drive in 2:32.
The Terriers' last possession lasted only three plays and a punt. Kenyon then possessed the ball for the final 4:46 on 11 plays covering 43 yards to run out the clock. The Terriers' played well again but lost a 3-point decision for the second straight game.
The Terriers' Homecoming day started much brighter. After Kenyon took a 7-0 lead in the final minute of the first quarter, the Yeomen actually threatened to score again when a 9-play, 42-yard drive ended in a fumble at the Hiram 3-yard line and was recovered by the Terriers' freshman safety
Princeton Brown. That's when the complexion of the game turned in the Terriers' favor. Hiram took over on its own 1-yard line. On the first play from scrimmage, senior running back
Malcolm Rogers -- the leading rusher in the North Coast Athletic Conference -- sprinted 99 yards up the middle for the game-tying touchdown and the school record for the longest run from scrimmage.
Then, with 7:18 remaining in the first half, Kenyon was forced to punt from its own 19-yard line. The punt was blocked and recovered in the end zone by sophomore
Egya Quaison-Sackey to put the Terriers ahead, 14-7.
Perhaps the biggest drive drive of the half was Hiram's final drive, taking over at own 28-yard line with just 0:46 seconds left in the half. The Terriers drove 49 yards in five plays to the Kenyon 23. Junior placekicker Chris Miler booted a 40-yard field goal on the final play of the half for a 17-7 lead, much to the delight of the Homecoming crowd.
Kenyon answered quickly to start the second half, taking the opening drive 72 yards in six plays to pull with 17-14.
On their next possession, the Owls took over on a short field and scored from 39 yards in nine plays to take the lead, 21-17.
Hiram was then stopped on a 4th-and-one at the Kenyon 32. Kenyon took over and drove 67 yards in five plays for a 10-point lead at 27-17.
The Terriers responded on the first drive of the fourth quarter with a fine 11-play, 69-yard drive, culminated in a 14-yard scoring strike from freshman quarterback

The Terriers then forced a three-and-out with the Kenyon punt netting just seven yards. Hiram took over at the Kenyon 35 and, with the short field, covered 35 yards in five plays with freshman running back
Donte Venters rushing the final two plays for 14 yards and the go-ahead score, 31-27, with 8:50 left in the game.
Statistically, Kenyon rushed for 273 yards and passed for 237 for 510 yards of total offense while Hiram gathered 211 yards rushing and 178 passing for 389 total yards.
Rogers led all runners with 193 yards and his TD. Jordon Benjamin paced Kenyon with 145 yards rushing in 20 carries.
Senior wide receiver
Raequan Davis-Hereford caught five passes for 61 yards while Yarbrough grabbed a team-high six receptions for 59 yards a score. Junior receiver Jarius Green accounted for four receptions for 49 yards,
