HIRAM, Ohio – May 20, 2026 – Hiram College Athletics unveiled its new hardwood court inside Price Gymnasium this past week, as renovations were done to elevate the historic facility ahead of the 2026-27 academic year.

Originally constructed in 1958, Price Gymnasium is the current home of the Hiram men's and women's basketball teams, men's and women's volleyball teams, and men's and women's wrestling teams. Numerous conference tournament games have been held under the iconic wooden roof of the facility, as well as high school invitationals and events that have included figures as famous as LeBron James.

Over the past decade, the court was refurbished and renamed in honor of the legendary Hiram basketball coach and Athletic Director, William H. Hollinger (Class of 1943). The newest version of the court still proudly bears his name.

In addition to providing all student-athletes with a professional playing surface, the court features the Terrier head logo in the center, a darker hardwood to display the dimensions of the volleyball court, and a lighter hardwood to fill out the rest of the basketball court. The perimeter of the volleyball court is in black, while the 3-point lines, half court line and foul lines of the basketball court are in white. The out-of-bounds areas just beyond the baseline and sideline are painted blue, with "Hiram" on one side and "Terriers" on the other.

Price Gymnasium serves as one of two practice facilities for all four basketball and volleyball teams throughout the academic year. The venue also features a full set of bleachers on both sides of the court, along with a balcony area that overlooks the court. A modern sound system and electronic scorer's table are also featured on all gamedays inside Price Gymnasium.

Hiram Athletics will return to competition in the fall of 2026, with the women's volleyball team kicking things off in its pursuit of repeating as PAC Regular Season Champions. The program came one win away from punching its ticket to the NCAA Tournament this past season.
