CINCINNATI, Ohio – March 9, 2020- Tim Stucky led a balanced scoring attack for the Hiram College men's lacrosse team, as the Terriers upended Mt. St. Joseph 21-6, Monday evening.  

 

Defensively, Hiram played well throughout the evening. Mt. St. Joseph's six goals marked the fewest by an opponent this season, and the least since giving up two to Bethany in March 2019. 

 

Offensively, Stucky led the way, scoring seven goals. He also added an assist while placing 12 of his 14 shots on goal. 

 

The senior is officially the all-time leading scorer for points (149) and goals (115). 

 

Eight different players scored throughout the game, showing a balanced scoring effort. Jaret Walland, Hunter Jenkins, and Gage St. Leone all finished with a multi-goal game. Walland tallied six goals, while Jenkins and St. Leone finished with a pair of goals. Jenkins added six assists, tallying the second-highest in program history.  

 

Hiram held the Lions to just one goal in the opening quarter, outscoring the host 7-1 in the first 15 minutes.  

 

Stucky was the first to score for the Terriers with a trio of goals. Walland posted two goals while, Trevor Flugum and Gage St. Leone each chipped in one.  

 

Mt. St. Joseph made the first move of the second, scoring the first two goals of the frame (7-3).  

 

Four different Terriers scored in the second, holding an 11-3 advantage at the halftime break. St. Leone, Dom Medina, Ethan Mayer, and Brett Johnson each tallied a marker in the frame.  

 

The Lions scored their lone goal of the quarter in the first minute of the third (11-4).  

 

Hiram responded with seven straight goals, including three man-up opportunities (18-4).  

 

The Terriers maintained their advantage in the fourth outscoring Mt. St. Joseph 3-2 to give Hiram the 21-6 victory. 

 

Hiram will return home to take on Wilmington on Saturday, March 14. The matchup with the Quakers is slated for a 2:00 p.m. start.
