PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania - April 16, 2026 - Hiram men's lacrosse lost to Chatham on Thursday evening, 26-4, in what marked the rescheduled game between the two teams after lightning forced the teams to postpone the original date of the contest on Wednesday.
Hiram played its best lacrosse as the game progressed, with Will Minggia and Sam West each scoring a goal in a fourth quarter that was decided by just two goals (4-2 in favor of Chatham). Minggia is now one goal away from 30 goals, which would make him the sixth player in program history to reach that mark in a single season – a list that also includes Kellen Wetz's 31 goals this year.
Micky Morgan and Jack Cook added the team's first two goals, with the latter of the two goals coming on an extra man opportunity. Hiram converted on two of its seven extra man opportunities, with Minggia also scoring following a Chatham penalty.
The Cougars won the game thanks to a 14-0 run to start the contest; Chatham is still second in the PAC standings with a 6-1 conference record, trailing only Grove City (7-0).
Hiram will be back in action on Saturday, when it travels to Latrobe, PA to take on Saint Vincent.
