Box Score HIRAM, Ohio – March 5, 2020- Tim Stucky became the Terrier men's lacrosse's all-time leading goal scorer in the 19-8 victory over Bethany College, Thursday night.
Offensively, Stucky led the way for the Terriers with an eight-goal performance. The senior set a program-record with 108 career goals and tied the single-season school record.
Last season, Stucky became the second person in school history to crack the goals career century mark.
Sophomore Gage St. Leone added three goals, totaling a pair of groundballs and a caused turnover. Other multi-goal scorers included freshman Ethan Mayer, senior Hunter Jenkins, and freshman Brett Johnson.
In goal, freshman Jacob Good secured his first career victory with three saves.
The Terriers held the Bison to a pair of goals in the first quarter with Stucky scoring three of the five Hiram tallies. Johnson and Flugum added a goal apiece.
The second quarter mirrored the first with Hiram only allowing two goals in the 15-minute period. Five different Terriers scored in the second with Stucky adding two goals, and Johnson, Jenkins, St. Leone, and senior Will Evans adding one. Evans' tally marked the first goal of his career.
At the halftime break, the Terriers led 11-4, outshooting the Bison 30-11, with 12 caused turnovers, and an almost perfect 11-12 advantage in clears.
Hiram outscored Bethany 8-3 in the third and fourth quarters securing their 19-8 victory.
Hiram will hit the road to take on Mt. St. Joseph on Monday, March 9. The matchup with the Lions is slated for a 5:00 p.m. start.
