HIRAM, Ohio -- Sophomore Nick Rollason (Pickerington, Ohio/Pickerington North) scored four goals, but the Hiram College men's lacrosse team fell to Wooster by a 25-7 score on Saturday afternoon.
The Terriers are now 1-6 on the season and 0-2 in NCAC action, while the Fighting Scots improve to 7-2, 2-0.
Rollason now has a team leading 18 goals on the season and has tallied 10 combined goals in his last two games.
Senior Greg Summers (Lancaster, N.Y./St. Mary's) scored two goals and dished out two assists and sophomore Jonah Austin (Tecumseh, Mich./Tecumseh) also scored.
The teams found themselves scoreless through the first half of the first quarter, before Wooster scored four straight goals to build a 4-0 lead with 2:37 left in the period.
Summers got Hiram on the board at the 1:49 mark, but the Fighting Scots scored twice in the final 40 seconds of the period to hold a 6-1 advantage after on stanza.
Wooster continued to expand its lead, scoring the first seven goals of the second, before Rollason found the back of the net with just over a minute left in the first half.
Summers scored a man-up goal right of out the gate in the second half, but the Fighting Scots dominated the scoring the rest of quarter, scoring eight time to open up a 21-3 lead through three periods.
Wooster scored the first goal of the fourth, before Hiram answered with three straight goals. Rollason scored twice and Austin added his second score of the season.
Rollason would also add another man-up score with 6:08 left to play.
Senior Sawyer Lott (Sunbury, Ohio/Big Walnut) made 14 saves at goalie.
The Terriers won 21-of-35 faceoff attempts in the game, led by a 14-for-23 effort by junior Charley Haley (Oak Park, Ill./Oak Park-River Forest).
Hiram will play next on Saturday, April 2, as it hosts No. 11-ranked Ohio Wesleyan at 1 p.m.
