ALMA, Mich. -- The Hiram College men's lacrosse team came up on the wrong end of a 16-2 decision to Alma (Mich.) on Saturday.

The Terriers are now 0-3 on the season, while the Scots improve to 5-1.

Hiram scored first at the 8:44 mark of the first quarter as senior Greg Summers (Lancaster, N.Y./St. Mary's) took a pass from sophomore Evan Pinney (Richfield, Ohio/Revere) to beat the goalie.

But it was all Alma from there, as the Scots built a 11-1 halftime lead en route to the 16-2 win.

Senior Chris Lekan (North Olmsted, Ohio/Holy Name) talled the other goal for Hiram at the 10:07 mark of the third quarter.

Senior Sawyer Lott (Sunbury, Ohio/Big Walnut) made eight saves in goal for the Terriers.

Alma held a 48-16 advantage in shots.

Hiram will return home and host Muskingum in a non-conference matchup on Wednesday, March 16 at 7 p.m.
