HIRAM, Ohio – September 25, 2026 – Hiram College men's soccer returned to the win column Friday evening, earning a 1-0 victory over Chatham University at UPMC Sports Complex.
The Terriers wasted little time finding the back of the net, as senior forward Jayden Julian scored the game's only goal just four minutes into the contest. Reginal Johnson created the scoring opportunity, dribbling through traffic before delivering a perfectly placed cross to Julian, who finished the chance to give Hiram an early 1-0 advantage.
After being held to just one shot on goal in Tuesday's matchup against Geneva, the Terriers found their offensive rhythm against the Cougars. Hiram recorded 12 shots throughout the match, placing five on target.
Garrett Riley led the Terriers offensively with three shots, including two on goal. Liam O'Brien and Taeven Genovese also recorded shots on target as Hiram continued to pressure the Chatham defense.
While the Terriers found success offensively, their defense once again controlled the match. Hiram limited Chatham to just three total shots throughout the 90 minutes, with only one finding its way on target.
Goalkeeper Derek Ufholz made the lone save he was called upon to make and preserve the 1-0 victory.Â
Hiram returns to Henry Field on Wednesday night as it hosts Allegheny at 7 p.m.
