NEW CASTLE, Pennsylvania - August 29, 2026 - The Hiram women's golf team opened the 2026 season at the Westminster Fall Invitational on Saturday afternoon, a chance for a young roster to gain experience and begin the fall slate on a high note. 
 
The Terriers finished sixth in the field at the Avalon Field Club at New Castle, with Westminster (A), Grove City, and Westminster (B) making up the top three finishing teams. 

 
Hiram's Kayla Weisenberger, who enters her sophomore campaign as the lone returner for the Terriers, recorded a team-best score of +44. Behind her were freshman, Rose Sangchompuphen and Gretchen Smink, who both fired scores of +55 in their collegiate debuts.  

 
The Terriers will have time to tune up - traveling to Little Mountain Golf Club and Stonewater Golf Club on September 13th and 14th for the Jimmy Hanlin Classic hosted by Ohio Northern University.
