COLUMBUS, Indiana - May 2, 2025 - Hiram men's and women's golf began the three-round NCAC Championships on Friday, a chance for both teams to compete against some of the best competition in the region at Otter Creek Golf Club.

As things currently stand, the men's team ranks eighth and the women's team ranks sixth, with two rounds still left to play.

Men's Recap

Hiram's Ian Muka again was the team leader after ranking among the best on the individual leaderboard earlier this week at the Caschera/DiCillo Classic in Chardon, OH. Muka shot a team-best 76, which tied for 25th on the individual leaderboard.

Kevin Ina and Andrew Cawrse each shot an 84 to tie for second on the team's lineup for the day, while Michael Clark (87) and Robert Morgan (96) filled out the scores in what marked the team's first ever competition at the Otter Creek Golf Club.

As a team, Hiram posted a 331 for Day 1 of the event. They will look to catch Ohio Wesleyan and Wooster as the tournament progresses to Saturday and Sunday.

Women's Recap

Joslyn Marion is now on pace to have a team-best score for the fourth straight event this spring, as she shot a 103 on Day 1 to lead the Terriers and place 24th on the individual leaderboard. It was an exciting appearance for Marion, who was competing in the NCAC Championships for the first time since 2023.

Anastasia Lawler and Kayleigh Pritchard were in tune with each other throughout the morning and early afternoon, with each student-athlete posting a score of 114. Mariah Council (141) rounded out the group's performance in what also was a new golf course for the team.

Hiram will look to gain some ground on Wittenberg and Ohio Wesleyan, with 36 holes still left to play.

Hiram will jump back into action on Saturday, with Round 2 beginning at 8:15 a.m.
