Terriers Fall To Nationally Ranked Yellow Jackets

Hiram Plays Hard But Falls To Baldwin Wallace 15-2

BEREA, OH – April 6, 2026 – The Hiram Terrier baseball team traveled to Berea, OH on Monday afternoon for a matchup with the #18 Baldwin Wallace Yellow Jackets. The Terriers fought hard against the nationally ranked opponent, but eventually fell 15-2.

The Yellow Jackets gained control early, jumping out to an early advantage behind a big second inning. The Terriers would not quit, though, getting some runs back in the third and the seventh, but the Yellow Jackets' advantage was too steep, securing the win for Baldwin Wallace.

The Terriers got on the board in the third inning, when Brady Isgro singled to center field, scoring Logan Gallentine, who had just tripled in the at-bat prior. The Terriers also scored in the 7th, when Ben Yoder reached on a fielder's choice, scoring Brady Trem. Trem had an outstanding debut as a Hiram Terrier, finishing 2-for-3 at the plate with two singles.

Having an impressive day on the mound was Nick Licursi, who entered the game in the third inning. Licursi threw three scoreless innings, giving up one hit and throwing three strikeouts. Licursi shut down the potent offense of the Yellow Jackets.

The Terriers will be back in action on Wednesday, when they return to PAC action against Grove City for a doubleheader, with the first pitch scheduled for 1 p.m. at Fishel Field in Hiram, OH.
